No More Page 3 at University of Nottingham

A campaign has begun to have UoN join the growing list of universities which have removed sale of The Sun 'news'paper (and in cases others) on campus.
The campaign hopes to join UoN to Dundee University, St Edmund Hall College, Oxford University, LSE, Edinburgh, Sheffield and Manchester Met. These university boycotts can be seen as strategic pressure points applied to Dominic Mohan, among others, who the broader campaign has asked to "take the bare boobs out of The Sun".
There has been much media interest, many MPs and promenent figures showing support, making a domino effect seem possible at this point, so long as continued pushes are made. It is in this vein, and of course for the ends in itself, that the Nottingham campaign has started.
This here is but a fragmentary glimpse of what is going on so go ahead and probe around the links attached and participate in the organising of actions at Nottingham University and beyond.

Scantily clad?
Um, really? If you look at two young women in T-shirts and think "scantily-clad models", that may in fact say more about you than about the pictures.
t-shirts are the new g-strings
That's right, my psyche seems to have made their trousers disappear. It turns out I am just a massive pervert.
I forgot their was no social dimension to sexuality. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. Which means that maybe we should be campaigning to get rid of sun readers, not page three.
Bigger issues
Good luck with stopping people looking at pictures of those they are attracted to.
Do individuals really have the time to spend on non issues like this when there are so many important things happening right now ?

Try multitasking mate. Ypu'd have time if you didn't spend it making facetious and pointless comments.

scantily clad models
Is it just me that sees the irony of using scantily clad female models to promote this campaign?
I guess sex sells, something we've learnt from News International, even if you can't see their tits.
