Recent days have been fairly traumatic for the residents and supporters of the JB Spray factory Squat after a local organisation decided they wanted to use the space. The future of the beautiful building, which has been a long term home for many, is now uncertain.
Rioting flared up again last night in Nottingham as five police stations were attacked with homemade incendiary devices (i.e. petrol bombs). Canning Circus, The Meadows, Oxclose Lane, Bulwell and St Ann's police stations were targeted by rioters. A police car outside the station in the Meadows was also torched.
This is an attempt to collect some relevant information and analysis to help resist dispersal orders. It is focused on the situation in Nottingham as a campaign has sprung up recently to resist the order imposed on Forest Fields.
This letter will be hard for many men to read. However, as it arose due to specific experiences in the activist scene in Nottingham we post it here in the hope that it will provoke critical reflection among those who need it.

The JB Spray squat in Radford was visited by Tracy Mallet of Portable Buildings Limited at around midday today. She cut locks and a person sized hole in the main gate to the building before leaving. Supporters do not expect more activity from owners or bailiffs today.

A judge granted a posession order for the JB Spray factory in Radford on Monday morning. The order gives the legal right for David Andrew Phillips, the legal owner, to evict squatters from the building which has been occupied since last Spring.
