Nottingham Post: No answers as city spin doctor goes

THE director of communications at Nottingham City Council is set to leave the authority.

Stephen Barker, who has been a high profile and controversial figure in Nottingham for several years, is due to take voluntary redundancy later this month.

His departure comes as council chief executive Jane Todd continues to investigate concerns that public money was used to support the Labour Party election campaign.

Such expenditure would have been illegal.
