Demonstartion Against the Government & Financial Crisis plus Celebration of Occupy's First Anniversary

Saturday 20.10.12 & Sunday 21.10.12

We will be holding an information stand throughout both days.

Meet in front of the Council House from 12 Noon.

We appreciate that there is a Union march in London for the first day of this protest, but we believe that like members of our group, there are many who are unable to go to London, besides there will still be many people in Nottingham on the Saturday. Plus as good as the march will be, on it's own it is not enough, so we feel it is important that the march carry on & join together with a sustained continued protest in Nottingham, so we are hoping for considerable Union support on the Saturday evening & on the Sunday, plus every week following. The event will be running on into the evening of both days & following this weekend will be repeated weekly until we are listened to & our demands are are met!

Our government, world leaders and the powerful elite banking organisations have done nothing but impose unnecessary austerity, transferring private debt to public debt thus crippling the economy, leading to the removal and privatisation of many of our public services & benefits which we the people have fought hard to protect, all just furthering their own agendas & profits.

We feel that one year on nothing has effectively been carried out to improve the current economical crisis for our families, city, country or planets wellbeing. That in fact quite the opposite has occured & things have gotten alot worse, in some cases even fatal for many people.

When we first appeared we stated that we would be staying until this was improved permanently, we made our stand gave our demands & have watched corrupt governments walk all over every institution we ever had, so we are back using different tactics but with the same message; enough is enough; when a car breaks down if you can't fix it you get a new engine or car, we feel the whole global economical system is unworkable, proven to not be viable & wide open for abuse at the expense of majority of the population... it must be replaced!

If you've had enough of the financial crisis, the cuts & loss of services affecting your lives & family, sick of the unjust tax evasion, tired of commodities being so expensive when their is no need other than to increase profit margins for the rich, sick of the wars being fought for power & control of resources to create higher profits, or the planet being destroyed & polluted to provide products, then join us, bring posters, banners & instruments, shout about what you are not happy with, dance with us & most importantly be part of the positive change you want to see & stand together united in defiance.

This is the first anniversary of Occupy, the movement began a year ago this month globaly & here in Nottingham giving birth to an idea.

United for global change for a better world for all Occupy Together
