Demo Against Monsanto
• why do we demonstrate?
-To support organic and small farmers who suffer losses whilst Monsanto patent rights over seeds
-To spread awareness about the serious health conditions that Monsanto’s GM food can lead to
-To protect our bee population that has been declining since the introduction of GM crops
• what are the solutions?
-To buy organic and boycott Monsanto owned companies
-To call for further scientific research on the health effects of GMO’s
-To continue to inform the public about Monsanto so they too can make an informed decision about the food that they eat

Put on left lion by myself & not a cheap one, in rememberance of lee rigby& the current bloodthirsty civil war in Syria. Should be a vigil there every week for this really, we need justice&peace.

Regardimg gm oil in notts restaurants yes its around,its illegal in eu, not safe to consume& destroying biodiversity. I know someone who found some in the back of a establishment in nottinghamshire, keep a eye out, it gets smuggled in everywhere. There are chefs who have found it in school kitchens, if your kids are at school& you should be concerened, do no be shy to ask, non gm veg oil is not expensive.
Its possibe the catering department for the area or nationally are ordering it in bulk,knowingly or not, or Its from a uk wholesaler, it wouldnt be hard to find out. Sadly the chef I know who found some removed it,but didnt check the source or complain. I will look into it personally, if I had kids at school I would be vconcerned& as Its been found in schools, its vlikely elsewhere, this needs tracing asap & the government+wholesalers need to sort it out please.
