The Leicester Mercury has become the 1st Newspaper to endorse the need for a 500 meter Buffer Zone around Opencast Mines in England

Yesterday the Leicester Mercury published a news item on the new Private Member's Bill that was introduced into the House of Commons to achieve this end (see
