The people in the bus on the [botton video] were 44 members of the far-Right English Defence League from Nottingham who'd been arrested and charged with violent disorder. They'd already been in a fight with the locals and their coach was smashed up (partially by them), so the police stuck them on that bus and removed them.

TWO failed asylum seekers are on the run after escaping from a detention centre near Lincoln.

Algerian-born Fehrez Belkadi, 33, and Egyptian citizen Waie Elbayoumi, 30, escaped from the Morton Hall Immigration Removal Centre in Swinderby.

People from Notts and Lincolnshire held a noise demo outside Morton Hall IRC, the UK's most recently opened prison for migrants. A sound system, horns, whistles and pots and pans were used to let those inside know we were there outside in solidarity, wanting to close down Morton Hall and all immigration prisons. The fascist BNP fielded only two candidates in Nottinghamshire for yesterday's local elections. Simon 'Bob' Brindley and Bob Coyne stood in Bilborough in Nottingham and only achieved a measly 3.5% of the vote. The party failed to get it together to field any candidates in former strongholds such as Ashfield and Broxtowe.
