The police and the CPS were responsible for failures in the case of 26 protesters taken to court for planning a protest at Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station, a report has found. Dominic Howell reports...

More reports and reviews as questions continue [and another five in addition to these by my reckoning].

IN addition to the report published by Sir Christopher Rose, there are six other reviews which have been completed or are ongoing into the Kennedy case, as follows:

Review by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (requested by Notts Police). The IPCC is investigating the disclosure of evidence in the case against the six people whose trial on charges of conspiracy-to-trespass was abandoned. This is due in the next few weeks.

Review by the Serious And Organised Crime Agency (requested by Notts Police, Her Majesty's Inspectorate Of Constabulary, the Metropolitan Police and the Association of Chief Police Officers). This was due out in October this year but was postponed.

Review by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary. This is the official inquiry into undercover police work carried out in general. It will consider "the proportionality of covert tactics." This was due in October this year, but was postponed after allegations that another police officer had taken part in a criminal trial under a false name.

East Midlands Regional Review (requested by Notts Police). The review has been completed but the findings have not been made public.

Review by Clare Montgomery QC (requested by CPS). The QC was asked by the CPS to advise on the safety of the convictions of the 20 activists who were convicted in the earlier case. This has been completed but not made public.

Internal review by the CPS. This initially looked at the disclosure of material by the prosecution, and was completed in March this year, but has been extended.
