: Nttm Lol's exasperation with a council report

Nottingham Lol's take on unintelligible language in a report to Nottingham City Council. To give you a couple of examples:

NCC's Director of Comms plans:

"Budget setting process - will enable priority-driven prioritisation of communications spend in line with the Council Plan and The Nottingham Plan"

"...a more elongated new technology adoption profile being required..."

"A priority-driven, four tier bidding and allocation process is therefore proposed"

errrm !!!!  I've achieved a descent level of education, like I can read and write and stuff ..... but FFS. this is Venusian innit.

I share Lol's exasperation  [ http://networkedblogs.com/5MSik ] with this witch-doctor type language that only they seem to be able to understand, excluding the rest of us mere mortals who might like to have some idea on what they're doing up there, to maintain at least the visage of accountability.  Silly me!
