Save Hayward House Daycare created on 04/16/11

A campaign group to fight the announced closure of daycare for the terminally ill at Hayward House.  Hayward House is in the City Hospital campus, and provides excellent and much-loved care for inpatients and daycare patients.  The announcement that daycare is to cease from September 1st 2011, and that there are to be no new referrals, has deeply upset the patients.  The daycare at Hayward House is unique in providing superlative medical palliative care, as well as a comfortable atmosphere to chat, make friends, have a meal, enjoy diversionary activities and have personal needs attended to. 

This campaign aims to reverse the decision to close daycare at Hayward House.  Patients, volunteers, relatives and wellwishers are amongst those involved.
