A speaker meeting with a representative of the "3 Cosas" outsourced cleaners at the University of London. They have successfully fought for the London Living Wage, and gone on to fight for pensions, sick and holiday pay, and for union recognition.
Among the issues they will address is organising migrant and precarious workers.
They are joined by a student from the University of London Union (ULU) to talk about how students can build solidarity with staff at educational insitutions.
This is part of a national tour.
Also on 19th February there is a meeting at Derby University, 12-2pm, Room S104, Kedleston Road site; and a meeting is being organised at University of Nottingham, University Park, mid-afternoon - details tbc.
