As parents we feel that we have not had a real say in Nottingham City Council's proposed plans for a 5 term year. One of the worst aspects is that there will be no consistency between City Secondary and City Primary school holidays let alone between City and Nottinghamshire schools.
The so-called 'education deficit' of the current holiday system is not founded on any evidence. The countries that are rated the most highly in the education rankings have longer, nationally-fixed holidays.
