64 years ago Britain was in a age of austerity, recovering from a long-term conflict with the Olympics coming to London.
64 years ago Britain was in a very similar state to what it is today. But where we are cutting, 64 years ago they were building. In 1948 we saw the bir...th of the NHS and the Welfare State.
To celebrate this, to remind people of what we are losing UK Uncut has called for 'A Great British Street Party'

To plan for this and decide the specifics Notts Uncut are holding this meeting. We also need to decide what we're going to do to support the picket lines on the 10th May.
