Places:

Nottm & Notts KONP will present Broxtowe MP, Ms Soubry with signed postcards following her surgery at Beeston Library and make clear that the public generally, her constituents, health professionals and workers in the NHS will not stand for the distruction of our most prized national institution won for us by those who defeated Fascism and Nazism and created at a time of much more severe austerity and economic strife by the courage and commitment of Aneurin Bevan and his colleagues for the people. We are united to fight to defend our NHS and prevent it's ransacking through corporate greed. Join us in solidarity.

We will assemble from 11:45am and expect to have completed the handover by 12:45pm

Nottm & Notts Keep our NHS Public collected well over 500 postcards from Broxtowe constituents expressing their concerns over the crazy Health and Social Care Bill and asking the MP, Ms Soubry to withdraw her support for it and making clear that they will not vote for her if she does not reconsider her position.

The text of the post cards is as follows:

Dear Ms. Soubry,

I am extremely concerned about the Health and Social Care Bill which the Government is trying to pass through Parliament.  It is clear that the real purpose of this legislation is to privatise large sections of the National Health Service.  This is likely to result in more expensive and less effective health care.

I want to receive from you your written assurance that you will immediately cease to support this Bill and that you will oppose any attempts to pass similar legislation in the future.  Otherwise I will not consider voting for you in any future General Election.

                                                                            Yours sincerely,
