The Sumac Cafe is happy to present two special People's Kitchens happening
in the coming few weeks, hosted by a couple of very worthy initiatives:
* Saturday 19 March - Black Iris Press
Black Iris Press is a small-scale distributor of radical texts and zines.
There will be a wide range of material available, including print copies
of their own zine Affinity and samples from their catalogue. More info can
be found at their website, blackirispress.wordpress.com.
* Saturday 26 March - Nottingham Anarchist Black Cross
We're happy to welcome Nottingham Anarchist Black Cross who will be
regularly hosting People's Kitchen on the last Saturday of each month. As
well as providing a delicious vegan meal, they will be providing reading
material, advice on writing letters to prisoners, and postcards to sign
and post to those unlucky enough to be doing time.
People's Kitchen happens every Saturday evening at the Sumac Centre in the
Forest Fields area of Nottingham. Each Saturday, a different team of
volunteers cook a delicious vegan meal which is served from 6.30pm for a
suggested donation of £3.
As always, volunteers are always welcome. If you think you might be
interested in lending a hand, whether that be cooking, washing up, serving
or just being a friendly face, please don't hesitate to contact us at
sumaccafe@riseup.net.
