...a bit harsh??
To say Lillian is responsible for everything the Labour party does, or has done is a being a bit obtuse to say the least.
Does that make her responsible for Iraq, Afghanistan, the Balkans? Of course not....
Jog on...
Greenwood Invades Balkans
Yep, Lillian is responsible for the Balkans, way to engage with the argument.
I don't know about you, but i just lived through 13 years of labour government, let's be generous and just stick to the public sector shall we? And this is just off the top of my head and arguing on your own terms:
No rescinding of the anti trade union laws
Introduction of academy schools
Increasing precarity in the workplace, short term contracts, part time work, reduced rights for temp workers
Increased marketisation of the NHS ie Transforming Community Services, Foundation Hospitals, Treatment Centres
Still at least i had access to loads of credit.
That's not even lowest common social democracy, this is just stupid. but hey, they're marginally better than the tories right. What do we want? CUTS! when do we want it? OVER A SLIGHTLY SHORTER TIMESPAN THAN THE TORIES!
this is about leverage. this is how we will win. does sucking up to labour increase the ability of the working class to help recognise and exercise it's power to disrupt capital? No it once again gives them the illusion the agency for change comes from our selected representatives rather than ourselves.
oh dear
Whilst your view on the achievement of 13 years of Labour Government is your and yours alone, blaming Lillian for those is a poor show.
If you'd blamed Blair, Brown, Miliband, etc, etc for those failures, i'd have agreed with you, but to bring LG into the discussion just makes you look foolish and incredibly uneducated.
Pick your targets wiser next time comrade.
No that was the bad labour, this is the good labour
How is she nothing to do with labour? she's in the same labour party. she's a whip for said labour party. as member of the unison executive she was responsible for giving political funding to the labour party. She has refused to condemn the cuts being made in the city by the labour councillors. hello?
Eh?
Lillian Greenwood is a Labour MP. She is therefore a representative of that party. She should expect to be criticised for the actions of her party, just as Tory or LibDem MPs should expect to be criticised for the actions of theirs.
Bear in mind that the Labour Party has refused to commit itself to actually opposing the cuts and condemned those taking action against them.
Locally it is the Labour Party, in the form of Nottingham City Council, who are cutting services, sacking workers and closing facilities. Does Greenwood have anything critical to say about this? Of course not.
The obsession with the Labour Party can only hinder the anti-cuts movement. With all the mainstream parties (including Labour) committed to cuts we are only going to protect jobs and services by making sure that they are more scared of us than the financial markets.
??
its quite simple..
As a newly elected MP from just last year, one can hardly hold her responsible for the actions of the Government before that date.
Stop being so obtuse and downright pedantic.
What next? Are you expecting David Cameron to apologise for the errors made during Heath's 70's Tory Government? Nick Clegg to be an apologist for the failed experiment of the SDP?
He'll change! i swear it! He said he loves me!
so each generation of labour candidates are each a tabula rasa that drops from the sky untroubled by a political past or ideology or unentangled from the current material circumstance? what ahistorical nonsense is this? i refuse to believe anyone is that naive.

Labour?
lillian greenwood is a member of a party that tried to privatize the post office. it's like inviting a wolf to a save our chickens event. beyond naive, this is in the realms of the abusive relationship. when will this auto-labourism stop? sob.
