Occupy Camp now surrounded by Winter Wonderland
Earlier, the Market Square was preparing for the 'lets switch on the christmas lights in Mid November shindig'! [ba humbug, really].
So now, the camp is bombarded by pretty christmas lights and oh so jolly tunes.
This evening ..... I wondered if this was all a plot, attacking the camp with a seasonal sound weapon. This will of course now continue for another 5 or 6 fucking weeks.

22 to go....
Its now December, & there is still lots of time to see the "Winter Wonderland".... 22 days in fact, & while they,re there anyone can also spend lots of money (or is it increase their credit card debt?)in preparation for that 1 day.... Yes, its great to buy loved ones presents, but do we really need so much other stuff in excess?
Lots of shops re-open on Boxing Day, so theres no real need for freezers/fridges to be choc-a-bloc with food, piles of alchohol in stock, & chocolates/cakes etc. up to our ears.. But thats the way we,re supposed to do it apparently.... Eat, Drink, & be Merry, which is not possible at any other time of the year of course.. HaHa!!
But at least its not compulsory, so thats good..
Oh, I nearly forgot, watch out for the recently introduced extra car parking charges on weekdays 6-8pm & all day Sundays.... They could,ve called them the WWPL (Winter Wonderland Parking Levy)..

29 Consumerism Days til Xmas.. & beyond..
29 days is from today to Xmas Eve (inclusive).. Its not a plot, its just the good old "Pre" Xmas Celebration in the form of Consumerism.. But its rather drawn out for obvious reasons.. ££££.. Then there,s a day off from it..
However, on the 31st day from now, the "Post" Xmas Consumerism (Boxing Day Sales) will commence.. & everyone will have the opportunity to buy even more stuff that they dont really need.. ££££..
Having said all that, I sincerely hope all children enjoy Xmas.. But Im sure they could/would anyway, without some of the material excesses that are so much a part of it..
