Planned ANTI - Gay Pride event in Derby (July 10)

St. Peters St,  10.30am

A friend of mine has today spotted and removed a number of posters advertising a planned protest against the Derby Gay Pride Event.

They were removed from the Normanton Road area of Derby and have little detail except:

a time (10.30am),

a place (st. peters st),

a contact number (0756 405 91 77)

and a general blurb about gays being 'un-islamic'.

More than likely is some nutter wasting their own time and paper but if you're in Derby this saturday, it might be good to keep an eye out.

Here's to a good Pride event later on in the day! : )

Normanton Rd posters

The local Islamists occasionally have a stall on St Peters Street on Saturdays. They leaflet the mosques on Fridays. They're a bunch of young lads who have read just the one book - and that uncritically.

They don't reflect the majority of Muslims in Derby and if shown patience, experience may teach them better, We should use argument rather than ridicule, they find arguing without evidence quite difficult.

Same in Nottingham

There are stickers posted around Nottingham (I saw one on Kent Street and one on Upper Parliament Street) with the same vibe. They are obviously targeted at the Nottingham pride event so you should probably expect the same group of brainwashed sheep there.
