Some people from Autonomous Nottingham attended the Lincoln Underground Collective skill share today. About 25 people turned up for an afternoon of discussions and presentations on anarchism, antifascism, alternative education and community organising. Well done to LUC for putting on a great day!

Students at New College Nottingham's High Pavement campus are planning a boycott of classes and demonstration tomorrow (Thursday 5th July). They are angry about proposed changes to the student timetable and the manner in which NCN Principal and CEO, Amarjit Basi, is implementing them. The protest is planned to last from 9am to 12pm at the Chaucer Street campus.

A NOTTS school has rejected the chance to switch to academy status.
Governors at Kimberley School turned down the controversial proposal at a meeting after months of consultation.
But the school has refused to rule out such a move in the future.

On June 30th members of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL), National Union of Teachers (NUT), Public and Commercial Services union (PCS) and University and Colleges Union (UCU) went on strike in defence of their pensions. There were picket lines across Nottinghamshire and a sizeable march along Mansfield Road.

On Thursday 17th March, Nottingham Students Against Fees and Cuts held a fundraiser at the Maze on Mansfield Road. They managed to raise £330, which means that once the venue fees are taken into account, they earned £270.
