About 10 days ago, the Nottingham City Council served a notice on the Occupy Nottingham camp. That unless they stifted by the Monday 5th March, the council said they would start proceedings. The camp said it wouldn't be moving.
At 3pm on Thursday afternoon [8th March] Nottingham City Council officials served the court hearing papers on the Occupy camp.

On Monday 5th March, city councillors in Nottingham met to vote through a budget which will cut £20m and 195 jobs while upping council tax by 3.49%. Campaigners protested outside the meeting at both lunchtime and in the early evening.

On Monday 5th March, Nottingham City Council met to set its budget for 2012-13. Following the pattern set last year, the council has decided to moan about how nasty central government cuts are but pass them onto the people of Nottingham anyway. Angered by their spinelessness, Notts SOS and Nottingham City Unison held a protest in the Market Square from 12.30pm.

This initial statement was collectively agreed by over 500 people on the steps of St Paul's on 16th October 2011. Point 8 was added by the Occupy London General Assembly on 19th November 2011. After ammending point 6, Occupy Nottingham collectively agreed to fully adopt the entire 'common statement', at the General Assembly on 25th January 2012.

Saturday 12th February was a normal Saturday, with no major political events planned in Nottingham as far as I know. Nevertheless, Notts SOS, the SWP, the Socialist Party and Occupy Nottingham were all busy trying to engage with the shoppers and passers-by in Market Square.
