Two Nottingham residents, a pensioner and a wheelchair user, have been charged with aggravated trespass. Two Nottingham residents, a pensioner and a wheelchair user, dubbed the ‘Atos Two’ have today (Tuesday November 15th) been charged with aggravated trespass.

On Friday, a large protest temporarily invaded the Atos Medical Assessment Centre on Stoney Street in the Lace Market. Campaigners had gathered as part of a nationwide day of action against the company which is responsible for the Department for Work & Pensions’ ‘work capability assessments’ which have been condemned by disability rights and claimants groups. On Monday 9th May, a small group of Nottingham activists visited the offices of Office Angels and ATOS Healthcare. Organised by the local Anarchist Federation and supported by various individuals, the protests were both part of coordinated national actions.
