A week ago, the council served a notice on the Occupy Nottingham camp, that unless they move by the 5th March, council will start proceedings. The camp says it wont be moving.

On Monday 27th February, Nottingham City Council served Occupy Nottingham with notice to leave within 7 days, after which they will serve notice of intention to seek possession through the courts. The occupiers state that they "have collectively decided so far, not to move from the Market Square, and through civil disobedience and lawful rebellion we will stay, and prevent intimidation tactics being used on those involved with Occupy." A petition has been launched calling on the council to reconsider.

Occupy Nottingham to receive eviction notice

Occupy Nottingham say they will receive an eviction notice from the City Council today, requiring them to leave within 7 days.

No eviction at the Spray this morning

The JB Spray squat in Radford were expecting eviction this morning. Two County Court employees and two police turned up at around 10am along with around 20 supporters of the squatters. They were also accompanied by 2 employees of Portable Buildings Limited, the company which is employed to manage the building. After some initial inspection and drawing a map of entrances they gave up. A call to the bailiffs revealed that another eviction attempt is imminent in the next few days.

URGENT: JB Spray eviction Wed 10am

The occupiers of the JB Spray have sent out a message saying they expect bailiffs to turn up around 10am tomorrow (Wednesday 25th) to evict the squat. They are calling out for supporters to come and help them resist eviction from their home.
