The Clumber Street branch of HSBC in Nottingham was occupied for 2 hours this morning by Notts Uncutters. This was part of the day of action to save the NHS called for by Notts SOS. The protest targeted HSBC for its involvement in PFI contracts that drain tens of millions of pounds from the health system. On the day of the royal wedding, Notts Uncut had its Facebook profile deleted along with around 50 political groups. Despite this apparently politically motivated move, the group has continued its protests against tax dodging companies, returning to Nottingham city centre on 30th April and going further afield to Lincoln on Saturday 7th May to link up with a newly formed group there.

On Saturday 7th May Notts Uncut jumped on the train to Lincoln to support a brand new Uncut group. We met to Lincoln contingent and a large welcoming committee formed by the Lincolnshire constabulary and their camera crew.
